{Summer Smoothie} Berry Banana Recipe

Healthy and portable, smoothies are ideal for breakfast, an afternoon snack or dessert. When using proper items smoothies provide important vitamins, proteins and minerals from ingredients such as yogurt and fruit. It's best to use items that are in season as they pack the healthiest punch. When blended well with the right fruits and veggies you can have a deliciously nutrient packed on the go beverage.  Below is my recipe for the Berry-Banana smoothie.

(you may adjust as you see fit for the flavor you want)
6 oz of low fat vanilla yogurt
1/2 cup raspberries
1 cup - 1 1/2 cup of strawberries
2 bananas
1 leaf of kale chopped

Add the yogurt to your blender, add your berries, bananas and kale and blend. 
Pour in a glass and garnish with fruit.
