My niece is in LOVE with Doc Mcstuffins! She just turned 3 and all she could talk about was her party! I didn't know children at her age knew what a party was, I surely don't remember by 3rd birthday. Everytime someone would talk to her she would ask "are you coming to my party?"

She even prayed by saying "Jesus please don't let it rain at my party" Too cute!

Any who, let's get to the details.

First stop was patient check in with Doc Madison.

While you are waiting to be called for your appointment, have some refreshments. Yes Doc Madison has her own cookies!

After you check in, you will be taken to the nurses station to have your temperature check with these yummy chocolate covered thermometers. (Only if we could have these in real life)

Did Doc Madison request any bloodwork? Don't worry, we have cotton balls to cover that boo boo.

An apple a day keeps the doctor away. Doc Madison said to

make sure that you are eating your fruits and veggies!

We have saline just in case patients need an IV.

Last stop is to the pharmacy to pick up your "Maddycillin" (candy for the kids)

{Tutorial} Chocolate Covered Thermometers

I was asked to make some chocolate covered thermometers for my niece's Doc Mcstuffins 3rd Birthday Party. So I put together a small tutorial on how I made them.

It's very simple.

Talia's Creative Printing: {Tutorial} Chocolate Covered Thermometers {Doc Mcstuffins Party}:

You will need the following:

1. Pretzels rods

2. Chocolate for dipping (candy melts, candy dips, etc)

White and the colors you would like to use.

3. Vegetable oil

4. Spoon or measuring spoon

5. Pan or cookie sheet

6. Wax paper

7. Squeeze bottles or piping bags

8. Gloves

9. Paper towel or napkins

When I started I made sure that I had ample work space.

I layed down waxed paper for easy clean up.

Step 1. Melt your chocolate according to the instructions (usally 40 seconds to 1 minute), if using a microwave, stir at half intervals keeping the heating of the chocolate even. Be sure not to overheat as this will burn your chocolate. Your chocolate should be warm and easy to stir. If it's hard then you've burned it and will need to start over.

After your chocolate is melted you may need to thin it a little. You can test the thickness by dipping a pretzel rod into your chocolate, if the chocolate seems clumpy or too thick on the pretzel then add small amounts (half a teaspoon to 1 full tablespoon) depending on the amount of chocolate you use. Stir the chocolate after adding the oil then try dipping another pretzels. Once you've gotten the consistency the way you want it, it is time to dip all of your pretzels.

Step 2: Dip all your pretzel rods leaving about 1- 1 1/2 inches undipped. Tap off excess chocolate then lay in your pan or on a cookie sheet. Once your pan is full of pretzels, place in the fridge for about 10-15 minutes. While your pretzels are in the fridge, you will need to melt your colored chocolate and pour into squeeze bottles or piping bags. Before pour the chocolate in the piping bag, do not cut the tip off just yet.

Step 3: Take pretzels out of the fridge, draw a circle at the top of the pretzel then draw a vertical line with your colored chocolate. Since the pretzels are already cold it will only take a few minutes for the colored chocolate to harden.
